The Photobook Award will be presented for the ninth time this year by the Association of Photographic Artists and the Finnish Museum of Photography. The award is granted to a Finnish photographer or a photographer residing in Finland for a photobook published in 2025.
The aim of the Photobook Award is to encourage the creation of high-quality photobooks and to raise public interest in the photobook as an art form. The award highlights the photobook as a distinct mode of photographic art and as an independent work of art. As of this year, small-press and self-published books are also eligible, provided that the print run is at least 50 copies.
The winner and finalists will receive monetary prizes: 2000€ for the winner and 500€ for each finalist. The finalists and the winner will be announced in March–April.
